Communal Story # 2 April 2012

She stared at the blank page, trying to ignore the chatter all around her and the feeling of panic.  The deadline was approaching and the words were just not coming.  She scrunched up the page and threw it out the window.  She just believed in the product and certainly couldn’t come up with the copy to sell it.

Then again, Stanley’s offer for $750,000 for the first three chapters was, shall I say, infinitely alluring.  Think SEX that always sells.  Or death, a body concentrates the mind like nothing else.

The above story is a compilation of individual lines proffered by the ladies present at the writing group meetings.  Basically, the meeting facilitator presents a blank sheet of paper to the writer sitting closest to her.  The first recipient writes whatever comes to mind and slips it to the next person.  Each writer adds one line as the story paper progresses around the table.  When it is returned to the facilitator, the short story is read for the great amusement of all present!!
